This week's CHADD Leadership Blog features Thomas R. Insel, MD, writing about AD/HD and research priorities. Dr. Insel is the director of the National Institute of Mental Health at the National Institutes of Health.

NIH research impacts the lives of millions of Americans, making it important that groups like CHADD have a place at the table to help advocate for increased research funding and shaping the research agenda. Because federal funds are finite and there are so many research questions impacting people with a range of disorders, difficult decisions have to be made each year about NIH and NIMH funding priorities.

We are proud of the relationship between CHADD and NIH, as evidenced by Dr. Insel's contribution to our blog. We are happy to be a voice for the thousands of CHADD members and millions of Americans who affected by AD/HD.
