Poem for my son...

                                                                       My Son

As I hold you close, I can feel your innocence cradled in my arms, 

you have great strength inherited by those that love you

How I want to wrap you up in a blanket of safeness & never let you go,

blue as the sky are you eyes that light up my day

Never would I change one single thing about you,

for you are the dream that has come true

I brought you into this world and filled your heart with love,

your hand in mind will always be a memory I'll never forget

My son; you are my hopes, my dreams come to life in a package only God can deliver,

I love you Eric, I'll love you till all my days come to an end.

Heres the one I wrote for my son., I had this submitted and it will be published in a book, I love writing poetry and have many more.

To My Son  01/99 

When I look in the eyes
of my new little boy
I see a wonderful world
bursting with lots of joy

He is so precious and a
happy sight to see
So I smile and say
“he came from me”

Two years ago I
thought I was in love
We made this boy
who reminds me of a dove

A dove so peaceful
flying high into the sky
And  I’ll always be
here to sooth his cries.

The day you were
born was such a joy
To look into the eyes
of my new baby boy

I will always love you Kaine
