This is the story of the night our beautiful little girl got here...
It was on Tuesday night that I started having contractions. I had them every 15 minutes. Hubby and I joked that if it was going to be this quick we might be home by midnight. :) I took a nap and he woke me up for dinner. I was still having contractions but they were all over the place. 15 min 7 min 2 min 10 min... So I decided to go to bed around 9. At 11 I got up to pee and noticed that there was some blood. I didn't know if it was normal and decided to call the on call doctor. While I was waiting for her call back my contractions were coming every 3 minutes like clockwork. I decided to wake up Dan and we headed out. At this point the doctor told us to come in. They would check us out, but they may have to send us home if I still wasn't dilated.
When we got to the hospital, we were told that L7D was waiting for us. They checked to see if my water had broke and it did... right when they checked it. LOL But I was only dilated two cm. They told me to get some rest because it would probably be a while. They left the room and my contractions started coming every 1 1/2 mins. I told the nurse if it was still going to be a while I was going to need some thing for the pain. (It was almost constant) By the time that she got back and I had taken the medication they thought the baby had moved and that's why they had lost the heartbeat... Then they couldn't find it at all... At this point I felt loopy, They had me get on all fours. Which I thought impossible with the contractions. Then they had to tell me that the placenta had abrupted and they were going to have to hold the baby's head up. I was headed down the hall to have an emergency c section. Dan could't come and I was going under, not getting an eppy.
I woke up to my crying bundle of joy. I was told by my sister that she weighed 7 lbs 7 oz. 19 inches long and had scored a 9 on both of her APGAR tests. She was beautiful, and so sweet to calm down when I held her. We were in the hospital until Friday evening. Dan is the best dad ever! I could't be happier.
So that's it. I couldn't be more proud. I will post pics soon.
