I wonder what Cafemom would be like if everyone assumed the positive rather than the negative before they placed judgement on a post. I wonder if there would be less anger and hurt that came out of contreversial topics like breastfeeding or smoking while being pregnant. Hmmmmmmmm . . .
When someone makes a post entitled, "Happy 4/20 Everyone", why do all the nay-sayers crawl out of the woodwork and condemn the person for smoking pot and therefore being a terrible mother? Do you nay-sayers really believe that your reply is going to be the one "wake up call" that makes that mother see the err of her ways? I'm sure beginning that reply with nasty name-calling is sure to turn her ass right around.
Those on CM with the least amount of tolerance are the ones who make it the critical, judgemental place we detest. For a change, why don't we all just make that crazy assumption that moms here KNOW the consequences to their actions and any rude and belittling comments fall on deaf ears. Why get your panties in a bunch when a mom across the country from you says she scheduled her c-section or smoked cigarettes while she was pregnant? Will that keep YOU from being the type of mom you want to be? No! But it WILL keep you from being an open and tolerant person if you leave snarky comments on her post though.
Channel your energy for the positive people! It will make you live longer!

Three cheers for positivity!!!!! Not sure if it counts but my Dad is still an avid toker to this day and I turned out alright, I think... :) (I'm not condoning pot smoking parents...)

I agree with you. This quote seemed appropriate.
Ok- at the risk of sounding like a total dork- I've been wanting to know, why 4/20? I've also seen 4:20...
Heck- I'm still confused by the wrestler saying Austin 3:16... is that his birthday?
