It has gotten a little hectic around here!
I have Not moved. I have Not had a baby. I have Not been sick or had any other dramatic life changing experiences. I've been CafeMom Lazy! I stop in everyday but never really take the time to form a thought much less write a journal.

The business is doing well. We have had a steady flow of work (mostly commercial jobs) and the money trickles in occasionally with the commercial accounts. But when you own a business, money is always a major focus...and money is Not my favorite thing to think about!

A couple of weeks ago, we filmed a commercial for the business showing our trucks, the guys and some common plumbing prediciments...water spraying in the crawlspace, clogged drain, etc. But the best one was when we were trying to shoot the faucet blowing off and soaking the yellow pages. HA! We had a Blast! The whole kitchen got soaked and everyone was laughing so hard!
My husband is working all the time, it's probably been two weeks since we ate dinner as a family
but I would rather have him out working than talking about finances over dinner. Ya Know?
What else??? N8n started T-ball a couple of weeks ago....when you think of T-Ball, do you see a plastic pole sticking out of the ground with the ball on it and little kids swing a bat in the general area? That's what I thought. Not this team, they pitch under hand to the 4&5 year olds. If they don't hit the pitch, then they bring in the tee. I never woulda imagined that until we showed up for the first practice.
But to my amazement, my boy can hit a pitched ball. We have never pitched to him! After we got him signed up in March, we went and got the tee, the balls, the gloves and cleats. He has been hitting the ball off the tee since then. At the first practice on the second pitch, he cracked it (for a 4 yo "cracking it" means it went past the pitcher LOL). He even caught a couple of balls and out ran the runner to first base. WOO-HOO!
K-La is trying to get in a different school(CCA)...too much drama where she is now and all of her friends are transferring for next year. But this year is almost over (actually less than a month now), and she is looking forward to the class field trip coming up.
Just recently, through school and girl scouts, she has been interested in going green this summer. So we got some recycling bags, I never took notice of how much of our garbage can be recycled. And we have picked up some of the reusable shopping bags, which ROCK! and we have decided to shop at our new local Publix because of their efforts to use substainable energy sources (and the atmosphere of the store). We have also decided to sell our pick up truck and find something smaller and more efficient.
Speaking of more efficient, my hubby wants to build a hydrogen engine. He has been on-line until all hours of the night, learning as much as he can about building one. So, when time allows, he is gonna convert our lawn mower to hydrogen. I know he can do it (with a little trial and error) and I'm excited for him!
Not much happening with me though...just balancing the books, taking care of the house and dreaming of far away places with no phone, televisions or computers. Just sand and sun, warm breezes and cold drinks, and maybe a couple of interesting folks and a silly conversation or two!
