They did an echo today and the fluid is built back up around her little heart. It is starting to affect her heart rate and she is having alot of atrial flutters and some other things. Not sure what all they said but that it is the fluid causing it. So the answer now is they are taking her back to surgery to do a pericardial window. No one can explain why her little body isn't getting over this on it's on and the meds only work through IV. The same surgeon is going to do this surgery as she did the open heart surgery. At this point we know it won't be today because she has eaten lunch. The plan is to be the last case tomorrow, unless one of the other cases run longer then it will be pushed to Friday morning.
Miranda spent her bday in the hospital and now we get to look forward to spending our anniversary in here also.
They are hopeful that this will be the answer to the problem of the fluid building up so much. I hope they are right, I don't know how much more any of us can go through. Please continue to pray for her, she doesn't understand what is going on and was so looking forward to going home today and now it looks like it will be 3-5 more days after surgery. I want to thank you all again for all the prayers and everything else. Dr. Christian is on her way up to see us so I'll close for now before I cry more. I will update when I know for sure when the surgery will be.
Comments:
Oh sweetie...I'm crying with you. I am so, so sorry that this was the news you got today. I wish I was there to give you a hug. I can only imagine what this has been like for you. Hang in there a little longer. I'm still praying for you guys.
I am sorry she has to go through another surgery. I know that Miranda was in the hospital for her bd but be thankful she is here. She seems like a strong little girl. I will continue to keep her and your family in my prayers as i have for awhile now. big hugs,
So sorry to hear that she has to go thru another surgery. Much love and prayers for all of you.
I'm so sorry that you all are still having to go through this. I will keep you all in my prayers and will hope that they are right and this surgery will solve it all.
