Classic Name - Modern Name (Theme)

Before I got pregnant and many, many moons ago, I had picked out names for my children. They always had my boyfriends last name tacked on the back of them. I had all these unusual names picked out, Aurora Rose, Liam Christopher, Xavier, Sunshine, Trixie, Annabelle and many more names straight out of a Dead show.

Then I got pregnant, and I knew that her name would be Sara. Simple, sweet Sara. No H on the end, just Sara. There was no other name for what I was feeling inside of me. Just to be safe, I picked a boys name (Ayden Erjan), and people kept trying to suggest and entice me on other names that weren't so...simple, but I wasn't having it because Sara comes from my heart.

That is the way that I feel. We actually had Emanuel picked out before we were married and had a hard time with a girl's name. When I got prego I just knew I was having a boy and that would be his name. We did decide on a girl name but I knew again that I was having another boy and we felt that Elija would be perfect. It just so happens that they both start with E. I never like the traditional spelling though.

Apr. 24, 2008 at 9:51 AM Emma was originally going to be Shelby and Caleb was going to be Lucas.  When I was in high school I wanted my kids names to be Allison Michelle and Payton Christoper.  Funny how time and life circumstances change your mind about these things.
