NECK SURGERY MAY 13 (SCARED AND DOES A HALO HOLE HURT)

MY NECK SURGERY APPT HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR MAY 13TH. I AM VERY VERY NERVOUS!!! I HAVE BEEN IN THE NECK BRACE FOR 3 1/2 MONTHS SO FAR SO IM READY TO GET THIS OVER WITH. I DONT KNOW EXACTLY HOW LONG IT IS GONNA BE BEFORE I GET THE NECK BRACE OFF AFTERWARDS BUT IM READY. THEY ARE TAKING A CHUNK OF MY HIP PLACE IT IN MY NECK {THE CUT WILL BE FROM A BIT ABOVE MY SKULL BASE TO BELOW MY BOTTOM NECK LINE}. HIP WILL BE PUT IN THERE AND WIRED. DURING SURGERY THEY ARE PUTTING A TUBE DOWN MY THROAT AND A HALO ON MY HEAD {ONLY FOR THE SURGERY}. I WILL BE IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 2-3 DAYS {BUT DONT WORRY CUZ IM TAKING MY LAPTOP}. I WILL POST PICS AND KEEP EVERYONE UPDATED. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS OR KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS? I JUST REALLY WANT SOME LOVE TO KEEP ME SANE AND LEVELHEADED. IM JUST REALLY SCARED! I DONT KNOW HOW THE HOLES WILL FEEL FROM THE HALO AND IT CREEPS ME OUT THAT THEY GO INTO YOUR SKULL. EWWW JUST SUPER NERVOUS!

WOW, I would be nervous too. I hope everything turns out okay. I will keep u in my thoughts and prayers.
I had surgery on my head (both sides) in Nov 06, for my disease called MOYA MOYA. I had the HALO too and when it was done and over they just look like big zits and they were gone by the time I had my second surgery a week later. And you can't really feel them either, they feel like a bruise or a sore zit. I hope this helps you some.

REALLY NERVOUS BUT YOU GUYS HELP ME A LOT! I HOPE THEY DONT HURT BAD. I HAD 2 CSECTIONS AND KNEE SURGERY AND I DO REALLY WELL WITH THOSE PAINS SO I SURE HOPE I DO WITH THIS AS WELL. I KNOW WITH IT BEING MY NECK AND HIP HAVING HUGE HOLES IT WILL HURT BUT I SURE HOPE NOT SO BAD LIKE I THINK. HOW FAST WILL THEY HAVE ME UP WALKING?

it was worse than they thought. i had 2 broken bones in my neck. i am still in the hospital in severe pain.
