Remember my "angry" post a day or so ago?! Well, I did make the correct observation and the client got her toe in order. Thing of it is.. the doc was not all that nice since she's so obstantinate. From what I understand he walked in without giving her so much as a "How do you do?" ... and pulled that ornery ingrown nail right out without so much as a numbing agent. She about fainted! LMBO! I would have more sympathy but she really needs to remember that she's got to take care of herself while she's still here on this earth.

My grandfather was a pita like her -- except much more so. He got thrown OUT of some 6 nursing homes for being ugly to staff and clients alike. When my aunt and uncle got him placed in a SUPER nice facility my uncle told him in no uncertain terms, " You get thrown out of this place and you will be living on the street, because NO PLACE else will take you!" My grandfather learned to mind his manners much better with that fact well established in his pea brain!

Many of you may not want to be placed in nursing homes. And that's fine. But remember that the caregiver that is there taking care of you in your home has the good graces to treat you with decency. You need to give them the same respect. And for goodness sake -- when you are older than 65 years old even if its uncomfortable keep up with basic needs of hygiene and skin and nail maintence. You may need them to be healthy longer than you think!
