Going to Kansas Speedway Sunday!

I'm really EXCITED, my husband and I are going to Kansas speedway this Sunday for the IndyCar Race and we found out we are going to be down in the pits and in the infield for the race. We also get to meet and have lunch with some of the drivers before the race starts. I'm excited because this is the first time in my life I get to do something like this and since I was a little girl I always wanted to be an Indycar driver or a Nascar driver, but as you can see I'm now a wife and a mother and a happy one at that! We are getting a chance to do this because of a friend of my mother-in-laws is involved with an organization called racing for the kids and my husband and I want to get involved when we move to Indiana in a few months. So because we are willing to give up our time and volunteer to make some sick children happy every now and then we get rewarded with things like this which we weren't expecting at all! We just wanted to do it for the kids, especially since we have been blessed with three healthy ones. Our Kendall loves Danica Patrick so I plan to try and get her autograph for her this weekend and I'm going to try and get Helio Castroneves's for myself if possible. So this should be a lot of fun!!! The only bummer in the whole thing is we can't take Kendall. Since we are going in the pit area you have to 18 and older so we had to set up a sitter for that day! That sucks because we really wanted to take her along with us! Oh well, at least she's only three and doesn't really understand to much where we are going so it won't upset her. Otherwise my husband and I plan to have a good time and enjoy the time we get without her because lord knows its very few times that we get to be alone and go out just the two of us!
