Petition
Christopher Moffett was incrcerated in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for a sentence of 46 years. He did not committ murder, harm a child or manufacture of sell drugs. He stole hunting rifles, pawned them and purchased diapers, formula and paid his rent. He was barely out of his teens, and supporting his infant daughter, her mother. Also living in his home were his girlfriend's mother and younger brother. He had no job skills, no education and a bleak future. Since being incarcerated he has obtained an Auto CAD certificate, gotten his GED and taken college courses. He has an offer of employment when he is released. His daughter is 7 years old now and he wants to take a more active role in caring for her as well as his father who has suffered a stroke and is in a nursing home.
