My son's step grandmother has made a huge impact on my life. She is my ex's step mother. She's one of those people that when everything and everyone is going crazy, she stays calm and thinks of everything, and does a damn good job too. I couldn't look up to anyone more perfect... my mom and my current MIL would probably be hurt by this. But she's just such a special person to me. She's helped my ex take a good long hard look on his life and now he's in the army and he's a totally different person. She's not my son's real grandmother but he doesn't even know his real one that well, so pretty much she is, hes always called her grandmother and that's that... They love each other very dearly! And for me, she's showed me that a women doesn't need a man to get thru life... and also that i am smart enough to go to college and do something with my life. I'm excited to think that I can do it, you know what I know I can do it, with her behind me. When I've had a bad day, I usually talk to her about it, and she just makes me laugh and calms me down like no one else can do... and I know I could call her for anything, if I ever need help, i know I could go to her. She's like a mother to me.. and I'm very glad to have her in my life. And I appreciate her so much for helping me out and pushing me to do all the things i thought i'd never be able to do. I love her so much for it. You couldn't ask for a better person.
