I haven't had the time lately to write any journal posts, but Connor finally fell asleep and I feel the need to write out all that has been going on.

Connor and I are currently in Washington D.C visiting my husband, Shaun.  He has been been gone for what feels like an eternity, but I'm having to face the reality that he still has at least 4 (probably 5) more months away from home.  We finally had a chance to come and vivsit, even though it's costing more than I feel comfortable spending.  To be honest though, watching Shaun pick up his son for the first time in months made the trip worth every penny.  I love watching the two of them together!  It amazes me...the fatherly insticts he has, even when he's been able to spend such little time with our baby.  Shaun is such a wonderful father:)  My husband is a photographer, and he took some great shots of Connor and me last night.  I can't wait to post!

Poor Connor has been teething for about a month now.  I see 4 teeth coming from the top, but I think 3 are actively pushing through his gums.  He's having a hard time eating the last few days.  I can tell he's hungry, but he only takes a little before he starts crying in pain.  I've been trying teething tablets and baby orajel type stuff, but I know these things aren't really helping him.  He doesn't like teething toys too much.  He'd rather chew on his hands, bib or me!

Well, I need to run to the store...these guys deserve a home cooked meal tonight!!
