Sometimes everything that can go wrong, has. The children are sick, the toilet is overflowing, the car won't start, the bank returned a check and your teenager has pierced his nose. Did I mention a call from your child's teacher? He needs a conference right away. No wonder we are stressed!! Whenever you reach a breaking point remember though that God is bigger than the problem and He is looking out for you. Don't think about quitting but ask God for help and make the choice to press on to victory only doing what matters most.
As Moms we are saddled with the care and responsibility of family and we do want to best for our children. To achieve this we sometimes take on more than we can handle. Full-time or part-time job coupled with the needs of the family is very stressful, but focused Moms don't think about the difficulties, they think about the rewards. We are committed to find a better way to get to where we want to be. To see the children well fed and clothed, receive a good education, perhaps live in a nice neighborhood, growing up and maturing into good citizens with good jobs are the hopes and dreams of every Mom. Moms do whatever it takes for the family. It is therefore important to stay focused when we find ourselves on overload.
It is sometimes hard to keep our minds focused on our goals because it is human nature to get distracted. There is nothing however more potent than a focused life . A poet once wrote "The first law of success in this day when so many things are clamoring for our attention is concentration - to bend our energies to one point, and to go to that point, looking neither to the right nor to the left." When we focus, it keeps us on target and it increases our energy. Admiral Richard Bryd, the Polar explorer, said "Few men come anywhere near exhausting the resources dwelling within them. There are deep wells of strength that are never used." Those wells go unused because of lack of focus. The mind needs clear objectives to reach toward achievement. Staying focus lifts you up. It is said that "the world stands aside to let anyone pass, who knows where he or she is going. Just knowing what you want to do and making an effort to pursue it makes you look different from almost everyone else.
