My little girl has two teeth coming in at the same time, and she has had a fever for the past three days. We've been to the dr.,and they recommended motrin. Any advice would be great.

If the fever is 101or more I would definitely give some Motrin or children's Tylenol.  Motrin cay cause platelets to go down (if that is a concern for you - it shouldn't be if your child is a "normal" healthy child).  We did lots of popsicles and frozen teething toys.  Both of mine seemed to like those.  The frozen juices tended to get sticky - but it kept them happy.

Good luck to you!

motrin worked well for lila... the doctor told us to alternate between motrin and tylenol every 4-6 hours as needed.  but i just used motrin.

also i put the tiniest bit of baby orajel on her gums where the teeth were coming in... and she loved to gnaw on a wet wash cloth.

hope that helps some.

May. 1, 2008 at 8:14 PM Take her a cold Bath Switch back and forth between Motrin and tylenol. For example four to six hours take  motrin then switch to tylenol the next  six hours or so.  it will break the fever a bit
