I'm having surgery Tuesday May 6th, and I'm so scared that I'm making myself sick. I have a rare genetic disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and it is a connective tissue disease. Therefore, the connective tissues may not hold through this surgery. I also found out that I am a Hugh bleed out risk and have been wearing a red medical bracelet that has my number for the blood bank. I have a 10 year old daughter that also has just been diagnosed with this cruel disease and I need to stick around for her because she doesn't understand this illness and she has so many test that need to be done. I also want to raise awareness about this disease because it may not be as rare as people think due to the fact that alot of illness's mimic it and are miss diagnosed. Anyone wanting to learn more about the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome can go to their website at www.EDNF.org Thank you for taking the time to read my troubles.
Sincerely,
Shonna
