Wedding....Heart Broken

So i was planning for my wedding...the date was set for September 20th of this year. Well first when i showed my sister what dresses i had picked out for the brides maids she said "I am NOT wearing that!" She wanted something short skirted! and with a very low V neck! ICK! The dresses i had picked out were sooooo cute.

Well then when i called my mom to tell her the updates on the wedding planning she told me she wasn't going to fly here for my wedding(She lives in Alaska and i live in Minnesota). She's not coming for my wedding! She's not coming to her youngest daugther's wedding! Just last year she came for her step daugther's wedding but she won't come for mine.

So the wedding is off. No wedding for me. I am so beyond heart broken...I just don't know what to think. I'm starting to think that all the things my mom has done i shouldn't have forgiven. She is the reason i don't forgive easily. It's why i hold grudges so long. I have been hurt by her so many times, i'm so sick of it. My wedding has been ruined before it even started.

May. 4, 2008 at 11:20 PM if you're in love and you want to marry this man, do it. You will regret it if you don't! regardless of how your family reacts! If your mom won't come for your wedding, screw it!!! if you're sister wont wear the dress, then tell her shes not a bridesmaid!!! It's YOUR wedding! your special day!!! don't let anyone ruin it for you!!!

May. 4, 2008 at 11:21 PM Aaawww, you should do it if it will make you feel good. If it is something that you have always wanted, then go for it, and plan it how YOU want to plan it. It's too bad that your family is being so insensitive about your wedding day.

hi honey, I'm from mn also and part of the iron range mamas group. I doubt that I will allow my mom at my wedding, my dad probably won't show up and I don't care if the girl;s like the dresses I picked out or not. they WILL wear them or they WILL NOT be a bridesmaid.

that being said, I agree with alexis_mommy IT IS YOUR DAY. screw everyone else. If you want to marry this man marry him. because you probably wno't find another like him. (thats as good for you at least)
