Okay, it's been a few weeks since I wrote a public journal! First, thank you to my friends who listened to my rants and helped me out a bit - you girls are awesome, I'm so glad to have you here!
Second, this is a 'general update' because I haven't weighed myself in about two weeks, and have changed my strategy with the weight loss. I think I'm still around 195, but could be a pound or two either way. I do know that my jeans are very loose, as are my favorite denim shorts! As soon as *all* my shorts are loose, I'll be happy! I'll weigh in sometime this week though, for my own peace of mind.
I was sick over the weekend, I think I ate some almonds that had gone bad. DH told me that when he came home from work on Saturday, I was just a big lump on the couch. I know I slept like a rock quite a few times this weekend because of being sick - but I'm fine now!
I was eventually able to start on the sewing pile, a.k.a. Mt. Sew-Me. For DD's 5th birthday (5/19) I decided to make her a Princess Peach (Nintendo, Mario's girlfriend & perpetual damsel-in-distress) costume - I'm a little more than halfway finished now, and I will take pictures when it's done and when I give it to her. I need to get a couple minor details - like a YELLOW crown and some white elbow gloves - but I have plenty of time to finish it. Just using the same Cinderella Halloween pattern I've had for a year now. It's easier to make this time around! woot! :-) After the Peach costume is finished, I have two aprons to make, and then I have some awesome Batiks that Mom gave me - I'm going to turn them into dresses for me and DD. Then I have a blanket to make for DS by his birthday (8/9) with some random projects sprinkled in between.
And the above is part of the reason why I had so much 'junk' on my sewing table :-)
I'm also getting my household binder in order - so far it's just a bunch of to-do-list pages, with this week all filled in. I have a page for each month this year with birthdays and such filled in, and a few emergency pages. Plus my sewing to-do list LOL I also found my copy of an herbal dictionary I had printed long ago, so I have it in there too. I need to look through that again and figure out an herb garden. Oh I also have my current pantry/freezer inventory in the binder - I need to make a menu today for the next couple of weeks. We just bought groceries last week, and have enough to last us two weeks at the least - all I have to do is figure out how to put it all together until it's gone.
Well, now I'm being distracted by Spongebob and the need for a short nap! Thanks for stopping by and reading about my boring little life :D LOL
Have a great week everyone!!
~Julia

The binder sounds great! You are filling it up! GREAT! I love mine! My front cover is starting to tear on the inside...about time for a new one I guess.
