Hubby's 40th birthday is six months from tomorrow, but I couldn't wait to purchase his birthday gift today. I am going to have such a hard time keeping my mouth shut about it, too! Argh! I am so bad about keeping things like this a secret, when I know the gift is absolutely PERFECT!
I bought him a Richard Petty Rookie Experience (http://www.1800bepetty.com/experience/DriveExp.aspx)! I know he is going to LOVE it! I booked it for the weekend after his birthday party, so I'll have something to give him for his birthday.
Right now, the plan is to drive to his sister's place nearby on Friday night and stay Friday and Saturday night. Saturday, his experience is scheduled for 1:00pm. I am still wondering what to do with Alyssa during those 3-4 hours. Right now, I plan to take her to the theme park while Alex plays with the big boy toys. Maybe I will do a nice character lunch or something with her. I don't know. I just want this experience to be awesome for Alex.
And I want to be able to keep my big mouth shut until his birthday!

I am SO jealous!! Mike's bday is TOMORROW and I haven't gotten him ANYthing!!! Anything he could really want or use is just TOO expensive. Anything else would just be clutter. : ( I had hoped to afford to send him out on a fishing trip but not happening right now. I'm hoping that I'll have our stimulas check in time for Father's Day and give it to him then, tell him it's a combo of bday & Father's day.
Just go about the days like nothing's up. : ) Hope you can keep the secret but even if you don't, he's going to enjoy the experience all the same! : )
