If any of you are mechanics, or your husband/boyfriend/brother/dad is, I need help... my husband's mechanic is charging $900 to replace the fuel pump in his Astro Van.  I think we're being screwed.  Are we?

May. 6, 2008 at 9:35 PM yes as my brother inlaw just replaced his for 200.00 total labor and parts call the dealer and ask how much for the part and then find someone else to put it in for you

I def agree with gustinebrat. Check your dealer and see what kind of price they give you. I've worked in the automotive industry since 2001 and I don't trust a lot of places to work on my vehicles.
