Friday, May 9th, was the twins' last day in their kindergarten class. it happened to be Open House in the afternoon so all the parents were there too. We were able to look at all their projects and be amazed and impressed with all they built, made and learned. Since their teacher is retiring this year we presented her with this quilt. I embroidered all the children's handprints and over their names that they wrote in their own hand. The borders and sashing was a traditional India print with elephants. The backing was a very school looking fabric that said I love my teacher. The class picture and the school's isgnia were made into iron-on transfers. She is about the most wonderful teacher I have ever met. She has been teaching since 1964! She will be greatly missed at AES! Skyla and Carson will certainly miss their teachers and their school.
