This is a letter I wrote to the women of Hygeia. They are women from
all over the world whom have lost their children due to miscarriage,
neonatal loss, or stillbirths. I wanted to share it because often we
forget that those mothers who have babies in heaven are still mothers.
If you know someone who has lost a child recently or even years ago,
take time to call them today and talk about their angel baby. Its
important for these mothers not to feel like they are invisible. The
majority want to talk about their baby but often people feel like they
just cant talk about it, its too uncomfortable. Take the time to make
and invisible mother, visible today.
Much love,
Sharon Gourlay
Dear Sisters of Hygeia,
Today is Mothers Day and please remember that includes you. We all
are Mothers of angels, playing up in heaven together. Can you imagine
them all together today, playing with one another in a lush green
meadow. Flowers are blossoming, there is a beautiful blue pond, with
a bridge going over it. I can hear their childlike voices talking to
one another, whispering to us. Can you feel the brush of air against
your cheek today? Maybe thats their kiss upon your cheek or their
feathery wings brushing against us.
Our angels caretakers might be our family that has passed or the best
sitter ever.......Jesus. I see their little hands holding one
another. They are visions of beauty. There is no pain, no sadness,
or even disabilities. Our children are whole, well, and so loved.
They are loved by us and can feel our love like sunshine radiating
down on our skin. They feel our warmth but they see our sadness in
our hearts, souls, and beings. Please know that your little one wants
to comfort and love you. They are waiting for the day that we are
together again. On this side it may seem like forever but on the
other side its just a moment in time.
Know that all mothers are mothers regardless if you have a child hear
or there. Our children love us. Thanks for parenting here and/or
afar. And I wish you a beautiful day for you a special mother.
I love each and every one of you!
