May is a very full month in our family. We have 6 birthdays, Mother's Day - 4 of those birthdays are mamas, including mine - plus my parents' anniversary, followed by Memorial Day weekend. Poor dh just wants to hide his wallet around the end of April every year! LOL
I can't remember when I wrote my last WLJ, I think it's been a few weeks though. Preparing for all the birthdays since the beginning of April has kept me from keeping up with it so much. I did weigh myself Sunday morning - 194!! That's a 10-pound loss since I started in the fall. And only 4 pounds to go until that tattoo reward :-) I rediscovered one of my favorite exercise videos, and with dh on days this week I'll be doing that every morning before dd wakes up. 45 minutes, and burns 500 calories.... plus walking to school in the mornings (I intend to, anyway) will give me an extra mile/30 minutes of movement. Doing that should drop that 4 pounds off by my birthday at the end of the month.
I also didn't write as much here due to being under more stress than I'm used to. I told my friends here about it - and God love them, they all read and helped out in the ways they could, and I was able to sigh with relief - only because it was all sensitive information for me yet I *needed* to spill it. The ducks are more in a row now, and a weight has been lifted, so I can return to my 'normal' state!
Now, the boy only has two weeks of school left. DD will be 5 next Monday (I'm finishing her birthday present today.... had to fib a little so she wouldn't figure it out, but she's seen me sewing it up!). Our primary election day and MIL's birthday are next Tuesday. The kids and I are going to Mom's that Friday and will be back home on the 27th - the day I turn 31. June is a far calmer month in this family! :-)
Speaking of DD.... guess who just rolled out of (our) bed at 8:24? She's already having tea and oatmeal, watching Dora. Guess my exercise will have to wait a while, but that gives me time to make our bed, clean off my sewing table to finish her gift, and start a load of laundry. Typical day here!
Before I go, I want to say something else. I have pictures to post, and I'll get to them later today or tomorrow.... I made an apron for my dear friend momneedscoffee, for Mother's Day. She's such a sweetheart, and I've truly learned so much from her over the last year or so! I saw her mention once that she only had two 'freebie' aprons, so I wanted to make her a pretty one, similar to mine. DD helped me pick out the fabric, and I thought it really was perfect! It made me think of lemonade, and I think of my friend whenever I think of or drink lemonade - good choice, kiddo! (Of course now the kid wants an apron out of the leftover fabric LOL ) I am so happy that she likes her apron though! It was a surprise for her - and I love giving surprises like that :-) My friend, you are most welcome for the apron - I really am happy you like it!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week! I'll try to be back on Election Day - remember, vote your conscience!!!
