Hope all your mother's day's weren't too hard on you.  My mother's day is about making peace with myself.  Being a mother for 11 years now doesn't seem possible.  My son Jesse, was born Aug. 15, 1996, and myself only 24 years old.  The birth of Jesse, made grandparents day the first for both sides (his and mine).  3 weeks later Jesse's cousin was born to my brother and sister-in-law.  There daughters name is Tessa.  They later moved to California when the kids were turning 1 year.  My mother and dad don't have much to do with any of there now 9 grandchildren.  They have always called or sent a gift, but I'm talking about spending time to get to know them.  I am the oldest in our family and have a brother, and sister younger then me.  My sister lives in Greatlakes, IL she is in the Navy.  My husbands parents are the closest and most attached to our 3 boys and granddaughter, and now live 4 hours away. For mother's day we spent it at Walmart, putting tires on the car.  Now has anyone heard of having to replace all 4 tires on a 4 wheel drive?  If you would like to answer please use chat box.   We waited for the Ford Freestyle to get worked on, and browed through Walmat.  We didn't do much for our anniversary so i wanted to look at new pots and pans.  We are both working in the kitchen, and a present for both of us.  Later that night he started up our grill and made us steaks and hot-dogs for the kids.  I have a lot to be thankful for!   My husband had a tuff time last year with spiting from the family farm, bless with a daughter, then now has a pace maker and defibrillator in his chest for his heart.  Mothers day is not just about us, and what we do.  The way you treat your children now is the only map our children know when they have there own.  Are you counting down the days till you have you own life back?  Or are you loving the time with them that you have and later in there life?
