Sand box filled with Rainwater - Is the sand ruined?

The top blew off of my sandbox this winter and it's gotten filled with rainwater. I just drained it, but the sand is questionable. What should I do? The water was kinda brownish, and maybe there was some algae growing in it. Just a little. Should I get rid of the sand or would it be ok when it dries out?

It's fine ... just think of how much time beach sand spends wet!  LOL!  Just wait til it dries out and there won't be any problems - or heck,  ya don't even have to wait!  We sometimes make "mud-pies"!
