Life has really stolen some moments from my mom and I as of late. And by life I mean stress, sickness, worry...all things not of the Lord; however, yesterday, after my mom's interview, we got to do some window shopping. Not even fancy window shopping but window shopping none the less. And I had another one of those, "that's why I love my mom" moment.
So, here they are, just a few reasons why I love my momma...My mom loves with an agape love---unconditional. She has loved and stood by me and my brothers through the roughest of situations. She vacuums my house every time she comes over, which is funny because she's not a neat freak. My kids love her not only as a grandmother but also as a friend. As a previous post stated, she tore apart piping to save my fish. She has personality! All my girlfriends loved her, still love her, and wanted to ride with us to ball games and dances--even though we drove a seventy something Impala with no air-conditioning!! When we flew to Dallas in March, just her and I, to visit my friend, I placed my hand on the plane and door as we where entering and prayed over it-I glanced over at my mom and she was doing the same thing. That was a big "I love my mom moment." And then yesterday, we ended up in OOPS and they were playing fun music. Footloose came on and both of us broke out into dance at the same time, same dance--right there in the middle of the store visible to about 20 people. We just laughed, and I am sure others laughed as well at the dancing mother-daughter team. What fun! I'm thankful for yesterday and our living out loud moment.
I love my momma. And yes, Dana can back this up, I still call her momma.
