Scheduled Birth

I don't know why it's bothering me,but I have a scheduled cesarean June 2nd. The baby is due June 11th,but the Dr. is going to be on vacation so he scheduled it early,how convenient. I know everything will go ok,but this is my 3rd baby and I am used to waiting for some sign of impending labor (water breaks,contractions),but because my 2nd son ended up cesarean,they are just going to do another cesarean. Something just seems so unnatural about it.

I hear myself saying "oh yeah,by the way I won't be home Monday,I'm having a baby.yeah,yeah I'll get back to ya Thursday,I should be home by then."

How do you feel about scheduled cesareans?

I've never had one.  My sister was scheduled for one with her second child, but before the date arrived, she went into labor. 

Sending you strength and energy.  Remember it's only temporary.  Soon you will have a beautiful baby.

May. 17, 2008 at 9:07 PM My my last 2 were schedualed. I didn't make it for Cody he came 3 weeks before my schedualed date. I knew I wasn't going to have a choice whether it was a c-section or not. Just because after 3 of them I knew they wouldn't let me try it normally. But Braydon I made it just fine. It was kind of nice. . I knew when I would need a sitter for the rest of the kids. And I knew what I had to get in order so that I didn't leave the family with nothing. So it was cool. Congrats on the baby...
