Hello!

I keep getting asked by CafeMoms about using my introduction to autism video for kids in other venues or linking it to their sites. So, I thought I'd offer the various ways this can be easily downloaded or utilized so it's here for everyone. The 5 minute video was created PRIMARILY to use to introduce kids to autism in a fun way. Feel free to utlize this in classrooms, assemblies, homes or whatever will introduce one more person to autism from the perspective of a child who has autism. It isn't about statistics, cures, causes or any of that stuff. It's about teaching kids of all ages about how autism might feel and the behaviors that it can present.

This is a free PodCast from iTunes...

Or straight from my website

There is a book that is more detailed that follows a similar format with similar illustrations. I am not trying to sell that, but if you feel that you know a classroom, community group or family that might enjoy this, you can find out more about it at the website www.AisForAutism.net.

In case you don't have a clue of what video I am talking about, here it is...

I love your video....  what a great tool!  I can't believe how much information you squeezed into a 5 minute video clip!

This truly is a great video, thank you so much for putting it together.  It is definitely a great learning tool, I've passed it along to my family and friends, to help educate them a little more. I sometimes feel like I try to explain it, and they still don't get it, or just don't believe me (about my daughter falling under the spectrum).  Congrats on your new book too!!!

Jun. 12, 2008 at 1:46 PM I love that, I hope that when my son starts 4th grade, I can get the teacher to share this book with the class, so that maybe someone might give him a chance to become their friend.  I am also sending the link to all my friends and family!  It was very well written!!!!  Thank you!
