This is Jessica she's a friend of ours, she's an awesome kid, so bright and spunky. She's facing her second round of chemo for relapsed rhabdomyosarcoma (sp?), the most aggressive and rare of the childhood cancers. She was diagnosed the first time a couple years ago, she went through chemo and removal of her leg ( the site if the original tumor) and was in remission for about a year. Then they noticed a lump on her back. It's back. It is in her lungs, back and neck. Thankfully, it's not in her bone marrow or brain. They have just started her chemo and she'll be starting radiation soon, she's feeling good still, but her hair has fallen out again. This is an even more aggressive round of chemo that last time from what I understand and she's going to have it really rough. She spent the night last night and let me tell you, this kid is so full of life, so funny and loving, it just kills me to think that she is so sick. Please, please, please, whatever you believe, whatever spiritual path you follow, do your thing for this kid. Put some positive and healing energy out there for her. Thank you!!!

May. 18, 2008 at 1:51 PM My heart and prayers go out to Jessica she is a beautiful child from the pictures she looks likes she's in good spirits it hurts my heart to see anyone in pain but with babies children esepecially when thay don't understand what's going on or wonder why me it hurts my heart i pray a full and speedy recovery for Jessica continue to be there for her encourage her stress never ever give up much love to all of you i get very emotional when i hear something like this on a lighter note that picture reminds me of a picture my daughter has she was practicing a dance my grandbaby fresh out the tub heard the music bust in the bedroom and starts dancing with my daughter but naked i'm going to sign off  now for i can' t see what i'm writing through my tears lol whitedoves

May. 18, 2008 at 5:14 PM It's a crazy world that would allow such a being to be so sick, but she's a testament to others, I'm sure.  It certainly makes me put a few things into perspective.  I'll light a candle for her tomorrow night along with a prayer to the Universe.
