What Wicca Is !!!!!

Comments (3)
Contrary to what those who choose to persecute or lie about us wish to believe, Wicca is a very peaceful, harmonious and balanced way of thinking and life which promotes oneness with the divine and all which exists.Wicca is a deep appreciation and awe in watching the sunrise or sunset, the forest in the light of a glowing moon, a meadow enchanted by the first light of day.   It is the morning dew on the petals of a beautiful flower, the gentle caress of a warm summer breeze upon your skin, or the warmth of the summer sun on your face.   Wicca is the fall of...

You Call It Hallowe'en... We Call It Samhain

Comments (2)
I found this and wanted to share.. I hope all of my friends read it.. Author: Peg Aloi Posted: October 28th. 1996 Times Viewed: 200,203 Hallowe'en has its origins in the British Isles. While the modern tradition of trick or treat developed in the U. S., it too is based on folk customs brought to this country with Irish immigrants after 1840. Since ancient times in Ireland, Scotland, and England, October 31st has been celebrated as a feast for the dead, and also the day that marks the new year. Mexico observes a Day of the Dead on this day, as do other world cultures. In Scotland, the...

Samhain

Here is some info on the Holiday for all of you !! Witches are not what you think we are !!! Samhain (pronounced sow-en) is the most important and least understood of all Celtic festivals. Unlike its counterparts of Halloween and All Hallow's Eve, the Witch holiday of Samhain has nothing to do with evil practices or horrific costumes. There are no poison apples, razor blades, or scary masks. Witches do not have green faces or wear pointy hats. Tall pointy hats were simply the fashion of the day among the peasants during the late Middle Ages. In ancient Celtic times, everyone was a Witch...

Jesus Was A Pagan ?

Jesus Was A Pagan?witchvox. comAuthor: whitehawke Posted: August 24th. 2008 As the Christian world denigrates all other religions as “pagan, ” we wear the banner proudly. It reminds me of the 60’s when some journalist coined the phrase “hippy”, meant to be a similar denigration, but it was proudly adopted and pressed into service by the very people it was meant to insult. The word pagan, to a ‘born again’ Christian, summons up visions of dark devious rituals, worshipping wine gods and maybe even Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun. Some people see only a polytheistic pantheon of...

In the 5th year of my mothers death ...

Comments (2)
In the 5 years that my mother has been gone.. I have seen my children have children, I watched my little one smile, learn to walk and talk.. Had endless talks with my sister about how much we missed her and wishe she would be here to see her grandbabies and great grandbabies.... Shed enough tears to fill the ocean.. I've lost a son to a sad sickness.. BUT I still don't know how to say goodbye to the one person who will love me no matter who I am.. How do you just not remember the way she would smell, or how she looked when she would cook them yummy dinners ?? Or the sound of her...
