Why must it happen so early in the morning? Experts say eat a balanced breakfast within an hour of awakening. Who are these people? Surely they do not have children to get up and ready for anything, or children that are awake before their (the experts) eyes are open. I can not even imagine asking the dog to wait until I have had a warm, balanced delicious breakfast.
Weekend leisurely breakfasts used to be a treat, french toast with cinnamon, orange juice, wheat toast, jelly, but definitely not within an hour of waking! I am misty eyed trying to remember.
What...

I hear that Oprah's network is replacing the Discovery Health network. OK- so it is not a watch every day type network, but I wonder if Oprah will continue with health themed shows once she takes over. She gave Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz a TV presence, last week discussed the health issues in the porn adult entertainment business, and is a constant topic in the weight loss world.
She already owns at least one network and I believe has money invested in others. She seems to care about the quality of her programs and other media projects, even when not everyone is excited about the...

I receive quite a few magazines. Actually I had given them up as part of my decluttering phase, but then I ended up staying at home more and thought I would have more time to read them and get rid of them sooner. So I said OK to some free magazines, and then OK to a couple try an issue free, and yes, I thought I would try a few old favorites again.
I can not even tell you all their names but I get Pond and Water Garden news, Pet Style Magazine, Pet Product News, Midwestern Living, Country Gardens, Country Life, and am doing the free trial...

all to myself - oh, guess I can't say money, altho all my money belongs to someone else (mortgage, utilities, etc.) I rarely have time to soak in a bathtub without someone asking "where is..."I rarely ever get the car alone, since we always combine errands. It is nice to have someone along to do lifting anyhow.I rarely get to talk on the phone alone without someone butting in. and I rarely have the opportunity to just have a fun day with friends because they all have to work more than one job.

I guess I would put myself in both categories regardless.I have fantastic ideas, I have wonderul talent, what I lack is follow through and completion skills.

We have the boat launch and the dam, neither of which appeals to me enough to visit often. There is a swan on the river I like to look at. Some might say the Dairy Queen is our distinguished landmark. I have been there!

I especially love colored pencils but for drawing any type of pencil will give you shadings and effects you can get nowhere else.Pencils are great for datebooks (yup - not electronic) and checkbooks (no -not online) and to write quick notes to yourself you can erase in a moment so no one else sees. Hard to carry a dry erase board everywhere.
You do not have to worry about one running out of ink or having the batteries go dead.Pencil marks are easier to remove from walls than most other writing marks. And rarely do people mark on other people's faces with...

This is how my day sometimes starts with the Verizon Hub.
I do check the time throughout the day. Weather doesn't change much. When I have an appointment the Hub sends me a reminder, as well as to cell phone.
If I had more hours in the day I would do more with the HUB, but I don't sit still long enough to take advantage of all its features.

My friends are all sci -fi freaks and proud of it. They have all the words to every Star Wars dialogue memorized and know every relationship of all the characters. I went to the original movies back in the 70s/80s, but 3 was enough for me. What we do to impress a guy.
I have not seen Lord of the Rings at all, and can not sit through a half hour of Harry Potter.
I am not anti fantasy or sci-fi, but I don't feel my life is incomplete without their "focus."
