Determination Kicked Coordination's Ass Yesterday!

Why do I say this? Let me tell you something. My four year old, Miss M, is very uncoordinated. She has little core strength. (It has to do with her lack of movement in a baby sling her first 10 months of life in Guatemala) With that said, even getting her to exercise (like the trampoline, or doing some kind of kid friendly/fun sit-up) hasn't helped as much as I had hoped it would. Miss M wanted to ride a bike with no training wheels. I was doubtful to say the least. But it is always worth a try. So yesterday was a second attempt, the first attempt was just oh so wrong! Off to the Dr's

I have a "bad" back. Between muscle spasms and degenerative discs, something usually hurts. I decided to start taking care of myself this year. I went to get my physical, annual gyno checkup and now it's time to do the things I just don't want to... like see how bad my back is now.You see, five years ago I found out that I have arthritis and 2 degenerative discs, you know the little cushy things between your spin bones (to put it in basic terms) Well, two of them were stage 2 of four stages five years ago. So Happy The Weekend Is Here

It's been a long week, and I am so happy the weekend is here. My kids have a half day and I just want to breathe a bit today from work and hang with them. I'm going to give myself a break from the house, order pizza for dinner tonight and just enjoy them!I was inspired to do this from an article in the New York Times. Going Back Home To Kenya

I wasn't planning on going back so soon. But the flight has been bought and we're heading out  in the middle of April. BIG, BIG plans for Mothers Fighting For Others. Our hope is to help as many orphan girls as we can. I can't let the secret out of the bag just yet, but will have a website and all the info before we leave...Stay tuned!

I don't usually go to the movies. It's just too darn expensive. But I am going tomorrow. I know this will be worth every penny.
