This was quite the weekend for medical issues. I'll start at the beginning. So Sunday we're literally walking out the door to go check out the new book & music exchange place when Mike's brother calls to say that their grandpa is in the hospital with just hours to live.  Bummer. So he says he's on his way over to the hospital and will call us when he gets there with an update. He called back later to say Grandpa was on some machines and that he had congestive heart failure.  Okay, so some of you may know that I've been going to the doctor a lot and having tests done because it seems my thyroid is over-active. I went Tuesday for a thyroid scan (you lie still for about 30-40 minutes while they scan) and found out Wednesday that the scan looked normal, but due to my symptoms and bloodwork my doc wants me to see an endocrinologist. They put in the referral that day. Today is Friday and I was wondering when they were going to get back with me about it so I called the doc's office to see. So the yard sale was yesterday, and I made a grand total of *drumroll please* $23. :| My mom made $64 just on her Vera Bradley bags, which were clearly the big draw. That's why I put them in the ad. We had a good turnout, but about half the people did one quick lap around the sale and left in under 30 seconds. Didn't see anything interesting I guess. But what I cannot believe is that more of the kids' clothes didn't sell! I had piles and piles of spotless, some name brand boys' clothes from newborn to size 5. Someone could have gotten an entire boy's wardrobe!! Oh well, I'm going to have...

Holy freaking cow I finally got Internet access at my house!! It's crappy old dial-up but hey, whatever works. I called Verizon, AT&T, Insight, and some others to try to get high-speed but they all said I was out of their service area. You wanna know where their service area ends? ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SONOFABITCHING ROAD!
