Hello, Andrew Shue.

I read in my grandmother's TV Guide from last month, or whenever, that you are passing up a chance to go back to the Melrose Place thing because you just love us moms so much.Since I always thought those kind of shows were pretty stupid, and Cafemom rocks... good choice.

One of these days I'm going to tear you into little pieces

Take a look in your rear view mirror for a moment, would ya?If there is a line of cars behind you, creeping along... let's say, ten cars... three eighteen wheelers... a school bus... a moped...Let's say the speed limit is 55 but you feel like going 35, which is your prerogative, sure... but the idiot behind me is bobbing and weaving and tailgating and just waiting for the split second he can streak past me and the four cars ahead of me to beat the on-coming dump truck...If your pokey ass feels it necessary to dodder along at this speed and back up traffic on a two lane country road, I would...

Now that's some prime real estate, baby!

Today at work my manager received several pages from her boyfriend and ignored them because she was extremely busy, and as we all know men will call you at work just to say really dumb things. Finally, she called him back and found out what was so bloody important. It turns out, he bought a house in Tennessee, off an auction on a television show. We live in Maine."And what did you say?" we wanted to know."I told him he's not allowed to watch tv anymore," she said."How much land does it have?" I asked her."He doesn't know," she said.Apparently, being a carpenter, buying a house in a state far...

Today several yummy things are happening. This morning I went to a yoga/pilates class and now I feel super rejuvenated about my weight loss journey. It was groovy. Now, all three children are at school for a few brief hours and I am absolutely enjoying the silence. Wow. I have time to take a good long walk on a beautiful day, or go read a dang book. I can either create an awesome tempeh salad, or go to the local seafood restaurant for lunch with my grandmother. I requested every Tuesday and Thursday off just for this purpose--to have these hours when I'm not pressured to go to work,...

Loose-leaf minty green tea, vegan recycled walking shoes, and an ice cream cone with my son.

Comments (25)
That sums up my birthday today. I had decided to buy myself a new pair of walking sneakers a while ago for my birthday, as a reward for the work I've already put into bringing my weight down, and an investment into a healthy lifestyle. So today, my grandmother and my daughters and I drove to the mall, and I visited the shoe store.I was excited to find a pair of Earth Kalso Lite shoes with Negative Heels. I had read about them and I was even more stoked to learn they are vegan and recycled and all that good stuff. So I bought a pair and when I got home, took a three mile walk. I could feel...

I get the message, sheesh.

Something wacky and not all that pleasing is going on with my Cafemom. Today all the type inexplicably got really small. All fonts diminished down to like, size 2. Did I shrink too or something? Can you hear me? Can you see me?Also, most of my own homepage isn't loading up. My entire right side column is in absentia. And finally, the most thrilling of all, the scrolling is jerky and sticky. It takes me forever to get through pages of posts because all of a sudden, my computer is behaving like a drunken hooker. So I really don't know what's going on. Cafemom doesn't like me at all. Firefox is...

Toxic Relationships

Comments (44)
We move through life creating and forming relationships with the people in our daily lives and some of us are very good at keeping only positivity present, and some of us seem to attract and develop mostly negative relationships. Most of us have a mix of the two and may enjoy wonderful friendships but our marriages are painfully broken, or we might shun possible friendships because our world revolves around the person we are married. Many women suffer through toxic marriages without realizing or accepting that it isn't necessary or healthy to spend your life with a partner who poisons your...

Middle Child Blues

I love Sara and Rosie's preschool/daycare, the Lil Pumpkin Patch. It's as cute as its name. Sara goes to preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays and her little class has five other students and lasts two and a half hours.Well today I picked her up and her daily report card was not so inspiring. I spoke with her teachers about what a difficult year she's had, with many hard and confusing changes, and well you know, she just turned THREE.We see a lot of naughty behavior, lots of screaming and whining and pouting and hitting and all that fun stuff. Apparently, so do they. Today, we worked on:Used...

I'm really weird.

Comments (53)
I have been weird all my life. I don't think I'll outgrow it, either. I'm going to be a weird old lady, one day. Hopefully, I'll have a weird little old man by my side but I doubt it.When I'm around other people, I say and do strange things that didn't seem like they'd be so bizarre in my thought process for the nanosecond the urge flitted across my brain. I make jokes that only I laugh at while people give me looks. I get confused easily about things that wouldn't have confounded styrofoam and I blurt out goofy statements that really don't put my mental capabilities in a positive light....

I am a dairy addict.

Comments (32)
I am addicted to cheese and ice cream. Everyday I try not to eat them. Nearly every day, I do.I am currently enrolled with Weight Watchers and I have done really well, so far. I take a two-to-three mile walk four-to-five times a week. I stay on track (except for this this past week, which was Cake Week for both my daughters' birthdays) and I have seen the scale go down steadily.I am regaining my vegetarian status that I lost several years ago. I was pregnant with my first child and broke down at a barbecue and ate a delicious, flame grilled hamburger. I snuck around to the back of the...
