6-Year-Old Girl with Brain Cancer Hid Love Notes for Her Parents to Find After Her Death I definetly teared up. What an incredible thing for a 6 YEAR OLD to do. To KNOW that she was dying, and still find the strength to pass her love on, so after her death, her parents could find some peace. And, at SIX YEARS OLD to even comprehend what was happening...life and death-and what it means.Amazing. Simply amazing. When 6-year-old Elena Desserich was diagnosed with brain cancer, she began hiding hundreds of little love notes around the house for her parents to find after she was gone....

June 6, 2009-Then-Give it a try! : )

I was listening to Big Bubba D this morning on the way to work. Every morning they have a call in segement. Today's was, call in with the date you were married, and find out what the number one country song on that day was. They were convinced that the song would depict your marriage. And, it was eerily accurate, at least for those who called in! So, give it a try. Google: Number one country song on (insert date). It's kind of neat. And, if you are divorced, google your marriage date-and see if divorce fits : ) My song for June 6, 2009: Then-Brad Paisley. Awesome sign! I...

So, this morning, I had Gabi's very first confrences. She's in preschool, in case anyone didn't know this. Her teacher is going through her state mandated portfolio. And, she was talking about the "Squiggly the Square Pumpkin" book they read last week. Ms. Holly thought that it would be perfect because apparently, the AM preschoolers have a namecalling problem. (The book is about the square pumpkin who has to put up with people who call him names for being different.) I interrupted Ms. Holly politely to ask if Gabi was one of those 'namecallers' in the class. And, I have never been more...

Dear Huckabee & Fox News-

I'm so very sorry that you butt hurt over the fact that President Obama refuses to grant your station an interview. Yea, he gave one to the other stations. It just isn't fair. *insert stomping of the foot* What are we, 8 years old? I realize that there are a million more importnant things he could be focusing on instead of declaring "war" on Fox News. I mean, but, really. Aren't there a million more important things you could be reporting on? Like the missing children of the world. The H1N1. Hell, even balloon boy would make for a more interesting story. Instead,...

If it happens to take you 25 minutes to decide what to order for lunch at Noodles & Company. (Because, it did.) And, you happen to notice that there is a line out the door forming. (Because, there was. In fact, you looked back several times. And, giggled once to your girlfriend.) And, you happen to notice that there is exactly ONE cashier taking orders. (You must have been stupid to NOT realize this.) .... Please move your inconsiderate, dumb ass to the side. And, if the assistant cashier who comes to the poor, innocent cashier having to wait on the bafoon (That's you.) can...

Hypocrite being the operative word, here.

Well, in my time on cafemom I have had the great pleasure of observing the complete ignorance from many. My favorite though, are those who stand firm against doing something, talk down to others because they do it, but then scramble for a reason as to why it was okay for them to do it when a situation arose. For example. Or, for exampleS. Example #1: I'm pro-life. No baby should EVER be killed, for any reason. Whatsoever. You cannot play God. Same person, farther into their future. Well, my 14 year old daughter got pregnant. She had to have an abortion. She's only 14. She...
