What Religion is Your Bra?
A man walked into the ladies department of a Macy 's and shyly walked up
to the woman behind the counter and said, "I'd like to buy a bra for my
wife".
"What type of bra?" asked the clerk.
"Type?" inquires the man, "There's more than one type?"
"Look around," said the saleslady as she showed a sea of bras in every
shape, size, color and material imaginable.
"Actually, even with all of this variety, there are really only four
types of bras to choose from".
Relieved, the man asked about the types.
The saleslady replied "There are the Catholic, the...

Edited to Add a Disclaimer: This post is for those who are CHRISTIAN, not those of others faiths. It is not intended to condemn anyone, or to imply that I am perfect. I am struggling with being a Christian of integrity day in and day out myself. I hope that those who felt singled out will forgive me, and I APOLOGIZE for causing that offense. I wish I had been able to share this without making some Christians upset.I've got to admit it, I'm shocked. Kind of appalled. And most definitely sad and worried.I've been reading several posts by women who were enraged by the...

DISCLAIMER: If you are easily offended, lacking your sense of humor, PMSing, or have mislaid the nice side of your personality ... please move on and don't come back. While talking to my newly acquired, greatly treasured new friend Belle, I happened to mention my concern over something that has happened to children in our immediate vicinity. I wanted to know if I was the only one who had noticed the reason for concern, or if there were others who had the same ability to observe that I did. I heard there were cases of swine flu in Alabama and have a friend an hour or so north who had to...

I'm not a fan of copying and pasting journals, but I was afraid that if I just posted a link, no one would follow it. This was a HUGE eye opener for me!!! I hope y'all find this as much of a blessing as I did:
Motivate Me Monday! Self-Entitlement
This week I have a very motivating post for you from my friend, fellow blogger and 5:16 gal Laura from 10 Million Miles.
Laura is happily Ryan’s wife, Vivienne’s and Lia’s mommy, and a child
of God: She's blessed to have a life that can focus on these joys. She
loves finding the Truth in unsuspecting songs,...

There
are days when I just feel like I'm a lump of clay: bumpy, pretty
useless, and just a big 'ole mess. I look in the mirror and I think,
"What am I doing?" I wonder at my life, seeing the faults and failures
and missed opportunities. When those days come, it's incredibly easy to
want to give up. However, I've learned something very important: My
life is a lump of clay in the hands of the loving, faithful Potter.
That means that I'm not just a useless lump, but rather a lump chock
full of potential. Sometimes
I get ahead of God and begin to make my own plans. I begin to...

Isaiah 45:22 says, "Look to Me, and be saved..."What
are you looking at this morning? I know I started out looking at the
mess I had to clean, the school work yet to complete, the bills I'm not
sure how we're going to pay, and the dreary rain out the window. It's
no wonder I was feeling self-pity and discouragement. No where does God
tell us to look at our problems and become frustrated. No, He bids us
to look at Him and see our salvation. When
I look to God, truly look at God, I can see naught but His glory. It
makes everything else fade and realigns my priorities. I am overcome by...

I am a firm believer in live and let live. I believe that our individuality is what makes us unique, and that one of the easiest ways to make a statement about who you are is through your dress and style. Sometimes, however, I have to wonder what statement a person is making, and if they are really intending to convey that message. Again, though, live and let live, right? Sure thing, but there are times that it is simply impossible to let someone live without making a comment. While doing a nice mall crawl yesterday, I was able to engage in one of my very favorite activites:...

We've
all heard of Pavlov and his dogs. Those simple canines have gained
world wide acclaim for being predictable and always running for dinner
when the bell sounds. Heck, my husband could achieve fame for this same
feat! So could both of our children. It has gotten me thinking of other
Pavlovian responses. For instance, southerners hear the word snow, and instantly lay down their common sense. Or I see a shoe sale, and am compelled to shop thoroughly. There are other responses that I observe daily in my home:I say "nap", and my kids instantly begin preparing for their first marathon.I...

Since my post on American's lastest epidemic (hoarding), I've been questioned many times on many things. One recurring question pops up: Do you think I need help getting organized? So I've developed this list of symptoms pointing to the organizationally challenged:If your laundry pile is taller than your children, you need to get organized. If the best place to play hide and seek is in the house, you need to get organized. If the news footage of a war torn country resembles your guest bedroom, you need to get organized. If you haven't been able to find the baby for a few hours, but know he's...
