working out with DVD's

Comments (3)
I recently bought the DVD "The Biggest Loser the Workout ~ Cardio Max". Its an intense 6 week program for maximum weight loss. I went through the 5 minute warm up and half of the 20 minute level 1 cardio, when the phone rang. since it was DH I answered it. Oh man, I'm loving this new workout. Yes its hard work but its in a fun type setting. And who doesn't love Bob's energy? If the phone had not started ringing, I would have finished the DVD or went as far as I could physically. I can barely walk right now thanks to Bob. But I will be back tomorrow for another round of cardio.

Do Not be Disrespectful..........

Comments (2)
Don't be disrespectful to me. If you do, don't bother calling my house because I will just hang up on you, don't text my son, because I will stop paying for his cell phone service, hence you you can't talk to him then either. Don't post BS about me on FB because I will delete my kids' FB and mySpace accounts, Its after all my computer. I don't feel the need to listen in to your conversations although I can hear it 2 rooms away since its on speaker phone. Again it was my money that purchased the phones, computer and its my money that pays so we can use the same phones, and...

What goes through your mind when the phone rings at 5 am

Be the first to comment
when the phone rings at 5 AM my first thought is who DIED! My 2nd thought is Did I get a new niece or nephew? No to both. Its the school calling saying 2 hour delay. I may be old fashioned but I was brought up that all phone calls after 10 pm to 8 am are family emergencies. A school delay does not fall in that category. When I get up or DH gets up, we turn on the local news. Thats where we have always gotten the news: 2 hour delay, school closed. this whole idea of calling and waking up the house at the crazy hours of 3 am, 4 am and 5 am or if your one of the last to get the call...

Merry Christmas

Comments (3)
As a Christian its a day to celebrate my Lord and Savior's birthday. To my family its not about the presents under the tree but about celebrating Jesus' birthday. So however you celebrate from my family to yours a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanuka, or a Happy Kwanzaa. And a very Happy New Year.

WW2 Concentration Camp Survivor died

Comments (1)
Most people assume because he was a CC survivor, he was Jewish. But the truth is Russia was sending Christians into Concentration Camps and forcing the men to be soldiers in their Army while holding their wives and children, parents, sisters in Concentration Camps. On December 12, 2009 My DH's grandfather, Dmytro "Jim" Derkach died. He was born in the Ukraine on Oct. 20, 1920. He and his wife and 2 daughters immigrated here at the end of WW2. He and his wife went on to have 2 more kids a son and a 2rd daughter. He has 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Rest in Peace,...

What I'm most thankful for

Comments (1)
Like everyone I'm thankful for family and friends and DH having a job that allows me to stay home with our kids, especially in today's economy. What I'm most thankful for though is listening to children's laughter, seeing things through a child's eye and being able to be me. I'm thankful for a roof over my head, clothes on my back, food in the fridge, heat/electricity in my house and a car that runs. I'm thankful that both my kids are good kids and not getting into trouble with drugs or alcohol. I'm thankful they both work hard in school and earn their good grades. I'm thankful my...

Unpacking my way!!!!!!!!!

Comments (2)
So I  have to unpack the whole house with no input on where he (DH) wants his things. So I'm making the whole house Nascar free. That's right! I'm decorating each room in Polar Bears or Coke memorabilia. I may even put my Barbies out where everyone can see and enjoy them with me. Can't find your tools, should have said where you want them.  Why is my knitting basket there well it looked like a great spot for it. LOL.

She made her decision

Comments (4)
My DD has decided to join the Navy ROTC then go on to Officer Candidate School. She wants to be a Nurse in the Navy. Next spring she will be talking to a recruiter about what she needs to do her Senior year of High School. She will be 3rd generation Navy. I'm super proud of her for making this decision.

Crazy new neighbor

Comments (6)
We just got a new neighbor last weekend. All she does is drink. No biggie~ she's an adult. The problem starts when you lock your car keys in your car, leave your purse by your car and call the police saying that your home was broken into. So I was questioned by the police. Did I see or hear anything. No. Next night. We are talking with some of the neighbors. Just standing around not bothering anyone. It starts to rain so we all head to my house and sit on the porch. They leave and we run into town for milk for kids breakfast. Come home and get ready for bed. 11 pm Crazy drunk lady...

Thank You CM

Comments (4)
Recently a friend of mine I met on CM passed away. I and another member have been posting about her passing in various groups that she belonged to. I am amazed at some of the offers that have been pouring in. Offers of baby clothes, sending condolence cards to a family that they did not even know. And there is an offer from a lady that lives less than an hour from the family wanting to help. I have spoken to my friends husband and he is over whelmed at the outpouring of care and support from people that did not even know his wife. Next week, I'm going to print off every post and...
