Finally
Comments (1)After all the waiting and stress it's offical, I am legally a MOM! We started this process over a year ago when it was discovered that BM was pregnant. Since then we have jumped several hurdles and climbed a mountian or two. Yesterday was completely surreal. It was like a dream. It was as if I was outside myself and watching this happen. I can't explain it in full detail but I think I really couldn't believe this day had finally got here. Then (just like that) it was over. It never sunk in that we were finally though with the struggle until LO woke up last night and it was just me and him....

A little about me...
Comments (3)I am in the process of adopting a boy born October 26, 2008. His BM is my ex-step-sister (if that makes any sense). He has been in my custody sense birth and I can’t imagine life without him. Getting the adoption finalized has taken a long time. We have completed the home study and follow-up visit. We are currently waiting for the court to assign a GAL. Hopefully that will come in the next few days but with the holiday weekend… who knows? He is the only son I have ever known and I am the only mother he has ever known. Sometimes I wish that was enough. My lawyer projects that everything...

Some days I wonder where the time has gone. It is going by too quickly! 3/4 of his first year already! Some days I wonder... how can this be? Only yesterday I brought him home.
