I am glad that yesterday is over. It was one of those days when I had something in the back of my mind that I couldn't stop thinking about. Grace had a crabby day, and was restless too. I am going to call Grandma today, I was slightly thankful that she had surgery yesterday so I didn't have to make the call. I somehow thought that it'd be better if I just waited until today. However, since I've been looking at the phone for the past hour I have figured that it doesn't matter if I call today or if I called yesterday. When I call and say "Hello Grandma" she is...

my girls aren't made of ticky tacky

I was singing the weeds song this morning - Little Boxes - and Thea started to sing along with me. I showed her the youtube video and "she got it". She asked me what it meant to be made out of ticky tacky - and I explained that it was a made up stuff that made everyone be exactly the same. She looked at me and said "I don't want to grow up and be like everyone else." I was so proud, and smiled at her. "And Grace isn't made out of ticky tacky either- look at her!" As Gracie was trying to sniff chocolate milk up her nose with a straw.

Happy 5th Birthday : a review

Thea's 5th birthday was fantastic! We had a fairly quiet day. We went to the park in the morning, and spent time with some play friends before coming home. Thea and I had a nice little lunch and then watched "The Princess Bride" together. It was dance day so about 5 we headed over to the dance studio and it was pure joy to watch her dance.   Thea wanted grilled cheese sandwiches for her birthday dinner.. and that is what we had. I am looking forward to her party at the childrens museum in a week.

I was tagged, and so now I need to give a list of 10 Random things about me: (then I'm going to tag you!)1. I am from small town Minnesota. The area Garrison Keillor talks about calling "Lake Woebegon" is actually very close to where I grew up. Its true, its where the women are strong, the men are good looking, and all the children are above average. *L* At least we like to think so. 2. I become a reverend last week. I was ordianed online. Who knew it could be that esasy. 3. I lived in Moscow Russia.4. I love animals. I have a dog named Trudie - she is 7. I had a cat named...

summer updates

Summer 2007 is moving along quickly. I am amazed with how fast each week seems to go. Here it is another weekend... There isn't that much exciting to report on. Erick and I are starting some remodeling, and before the end of the fall we'll have new floors, new windows, a new roof, new furniture, a new deck and a pool. We're not doing it ourselves... yay. :D Erick and I are not DIY kind of people. I am most anxious about what to do with the kids while all this stuff is going on. We spend a lot of time at the zoo and enjoying time with friends. I took this picture a few weeks ago...

This past week I got a face book account and have absolutely fell in love with it. Its a lot more simple than what myspace is - but its also a lot more functional. I love how easy it is to use - and the awesome features it has. Anyone else have facebook? Add me :)
