Thursday June 18th cleaning project

Comments (7)
On Wednesday night when speaking with my husband on the phone, he informed me that I needed to start cleaning on the house for our dinner party on June 27th.  He has to recoop on Fridays from being in the smoltering hot weather and just can't help me and I totally understand.  He does help when he gets recooperated.  Anyways our dinner party is actually a Townecraft cookware party but we are just telling everyone that they are not required to buy anything.  I booked a party to help my friend out.  I went to her party and if three couples booked a party, then she got...

My Greatest Fear

Comments (6)
Our VBS theme last week at our church was about fear.  Our song was quite cute.  It was called "Do Not Be Afraid".  My friend and I taught the 4 year old class.  We did not get to ask them what they are most afraid of but I can guess that some answers would have been the dark, shadows on the wall at night, and things like that.  This question has been repeating itself in my head.  "what are you most afraid of" over and over again.  The devil is trying to take over in this section of my life.  My greatest fear is that any one of my children may come in...

I am so hurt right now.....

I have a good relationship with my parents.  They live 45 minutes away so we don't see them that often.  They have an internet business so they are VERY busy Monday - Friday.  I've never had a really close relationship with my dad as we all hear about the father/daughter....daddy's girls.  I'm not one of those but I do respect my daddy for bringing us up and actually taking responsibility for us.  There was a time that he could have left my mom before they were even married.  You see, I was an oopsie baby.  Not really planned.  They've never made me...

Never let your pedatrician give shots/vaccine if your child is sick

Comments (4)
This post is for mothers who vaccinate on schedule.  I don't need anyone to tell me that there is information out there that proves vaccines are dangerous.  I have done my research very thoroughly and I have come to the conclusion that it is best for my children to have vaccinations on time and on the schedule that our pediatrician recommends.Caleb is almost 8 months old.  At his 6 month checkup, he was a little on the congested side.  He was not running a fever and appeared to have a minor cold.  I went into the doc's office thinking that we may hold off on his 6...

Believe What You Know and Not What You Hear

"Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming." Ephesians 4:14 (NIV).I was thrilled to hear the good news. I had a bad case of winter blues, and the television weatherman had forecasted unusually warm spring-like days for the entire week. However, as I was driving to church that evening, I heard quite a different forecast on the radio. The announcer predicted cold days ahead; highs in the forties, and rain. What happened to the amazing...

Natural Remedies For disinfecting your kitchen of common germs and bacteria

Comments (1)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that approximately 76 million people become ill from pathogens in food each year in the United States. Of those, approximately 5,000 die. What causes this high occurrence of foodborne illness? Commonly nothing more than bacteria, such as E. coli and salmonella, that is present in your kitchen. In fact, the kitchen is home to more harmful bacteria and germs than the bathroom. Raw meat and poultry products are the usual culprits, although it is not always because they were raw or undercooked, but sometimes because they have...

My Statement of Faith

Comments (1)
If you want to really know what I believe, then read this thoroughly.  I am posting this in my journal because it was too large to add in a widget.Statement of Faith I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son and our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, walked a sinless life, suffered and was crucified, dead and buried; the third day He arose from the dead; he ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us until His appearing. I believe that Jesus is the...

5th Birthday Tribute to Noah, My Firstborn

It all started on September 22, 2001. Your dad and I got married. We started out small. We lived in a rental trailer. I worked at a motel as front desk clerk and your dad worked at Asplundh. Soon that would all change. Your dad had applied for a job with the railroad as an employee and not a contractor. He got hired January 2002. We moved to Cordele, GA. We lived there from January 2002 to May 2002. We then moved to Douglas, GA into a rental house. Your dad got a job with the same railroad in Fitzgerald but we decided we wanted to live in Douglas. It was a nice little town and...
