It just isn't. It is a very minor thing. Babies are supposed to drink breastmilk and that's it. It's just that simple. I don't know why people make it rocket science. We are mammals. We give birth to live young and we make milk for them. Do you know why breastfeeding is such a big deal? Because the formula makers want it to be. They are a booming industry. They make it seem as if there are only two options: breastfeeding or formula feeding. Not breastfeeding seems to imply some sort of failure, as if the mother didn't try hard enough, didn't care...

METAL ROOSTER Horoscope
Rooster is often seen as the original strong silent type, not unlike the Humphrey Bogart and Greto Garbo prototypes. Most people consider them quite eccentric. Sad to say, relationships with other people are often strained. They are quite moody and can be too outspoken. They are often self-centered, but can be quite brave when the situation calls for it. On the other hand, Rooster People are quite talented...

I've been lurking a bit and I have never seen such evilness and hatefulness before.People who don't know me think I am a bad mother.People who don't know me consider me a drain on the economy.People who don't know me think I am a social parasite.I am generalizing answers from the Answers section, concerning people who are in my situation. It's amazing. I worked constantly from 1998 until I got laid of in 2007 and now because I no longer work, I am a bad person? I have a year left of college; maybe when I graduate, I will be a good person again, according to their...

Yep, that's what one of my friends said to me on Monday. Let me explain.
Tris will be one in a few weeks. Over the weekend, my SO and I were
discussing his continuing to BF and SO is staunchly on my side. This
is surprising, given his family's opinion and I am so proud of him.So my friend calls me Monday. Here is the basic gist of the conversation. Her: Tris is about to be one. Are you going to wean him?Me:
Naw. Me and Romaine just finished talking about that and we are gonna
keep going. The kid is teething anyways. Why make...

So I am doing a field experience this semester. I spend one day a week in an elementary classroom. I've got a wonderful group of second graders (officially my favorite grade!).Yesterday, my cooperating teacher (CT) gave me a small group of kids who were having a little trouble with regrouping. I took them to the nook and got out the base ten blocks. We were doing well. I would have one kid do a problem on the dry erase board while the others worked the problem with the blocks. I identified where their problems were coming in and decided that we should all work a few problems together...

I feel so good right now. It's really hard for me to put how I feel into words. Last night was just beyond explanation. I am smiling right now. I'll try to explain it to you....My SO wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day early since he has to go to work tonight. He made me sit downstairs until he got everything ready. He was so giddy LOL I was down stairs for like 20 minutes. Finally he called me up.The stairs were covered with rose petals. They smelled so good! They led to the room, where there was a bouquet of roses on the bed with...

My son is in his school's Inaugural Ball. It's on Friday and I have not raised a single penny. It's not that I didn't want to. His dad was sick over the holidays and had to have surgery and I just haven't had time. So if any mamas can spare anything, he would greatly appreciate it. He is an awesome kid. He is a cub scout and plays baseball. He loves to read-we are currently working on the "Chronicles of Narnia."I don't want you to think this is some sort of scam so there are two ways you can do it. You can paypal the money to me and put "Inaugrual Ball Donation" in the...

I joined a gym yesterday. That's right, I am going to be a gym rat. My friend K and I visited our local gym
and liked what we saw. Plus, they gave us the teacher discount even
though we are still students. Hey, we WILL be teachers in a year and a
half. Plus their hours are awesome. They open about an hour before and close
about an hour later than all the other gyms here, and they have free
child care. They have a crapload of free classes-Zumba, pilates, yoga,
yogalates, step, spinning, so on. Best of all, they are only 1.9 miles
from my house. I no longer have any...
