Happy Birthday Marines! I made cookies, especially for my husband, to celebrate the birthday of his favorite thing in the world, the Marines. I won't go into detail about the Marines, since I am sure most of you out there are familiar with them. The cookie recipe comes from Martha Stewart's Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing. I just realized the cookies are pink....lol. I think I need to makes something a little more manly for him....

What's the Point?
Comments (3)Do you ever feel as if you are just one tiny minnow in a huge sea of blogs and people online? I know I do.......CafeMom is so full of women and activities that it couldn't actually exist as a place outside of internet. It is so unreal how many people are here! Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. I think my kids are too old for most women here to be interested in what i have to say. My youngest is 8 and my oldest is 13. I have noticed that the majority here like to discuss breastfeeding :gag: and things like that. I have been there and WAY done that! Ok.........that's...

CM question of the day...Will you watch the Super Bowl tonight?
Comments (5)Super Bowl? What is that? I might catch parts of it...but I have never been a huge fan of sports of any kinds. Now, if someone told me we were going to an art festival, then I would be super excited and all over it.....Super Bowl? No. Just the thought of it makes me want to gag. I hate football, I hate the fact that it is popular, I hate the teams, I think the uniforms are ugly, I think that it is like war on a field in public, I find it barbaric that people get excited over men chasing after a ball in front of a crowd of people, I think it is ridiculous that people pay so much...

What's your favorite room in your house? Why?
Comments (5)The living room ..........it's cozy and warm and full of activity. I love the huge fireplace in there and I love hanging out on the couch knitting while watching a movie or just hanging out with the hubby and kids.Sarah
