- Kids' Challenges: allergies & asthma: markwill was a preemie when he was born and spent almost 2 weeks in the nicu, due to low birthweight and a high bili count. he weighed 4lbs, 12oz. after he turned 3 mos, he was diagnosed with asthma and at 1 year, was diagnosed with severe sinusitis. he has a weak immune system and he had tubes placed in his ears
