Have you, well someone you know{under the age of 35} had a problem with impotence, even when they are turned on and want to have sex?If so what do they claim to be the reason. My friends{who are male}were discussing this, just curious.

It is common for men to be excited but not erect. Some men have a hard time staying hard. Sometimes it is "pressure," alcohol can affect erections (ever heard of whisky dick?), stress can be a factor..... a bad past experience....the restriction of a condom... lots of things. Totally common although most guys won't admit it. Trying to relax, eat right, not drink right before sex, reducing caffeine all can have an impact. Mostly what helps though is relaxation and realizing that it is totally normal. Having a supportive partner isn't too bad either- you just have to find other ways of pleasing each other at that moment.

Stress plays a big part in it.

My SOs friend drink A LOT, everyday until he passes out, the only time he doesn't drink is if he can't afford it that day...he can easily be called an alcoholic. He's only 26. Anyway, he can hardly get an erection anymore...that's what he says. Takes a lot for him to get it up...I feel bad for him kind of but it's up to him to change his life around.

My husband had a problem once. He was really tired from working overtime and I was extremly wet to ware I could hardly feel him at all. So both factors probably played a role in it. Never happened it again, thank goodness.
