Since my husband works full time I usually do the cleaning but when he gets home from work he helps with our daughter so she is not bugging me while making the dinner! He also cleans the kitchen after our dinner.

I voted wife should but I dont like that answer fully LOL.

She should do most of it but it wont kill him to help do trash or dishes or laundry or little things occasionally.

To just come home and veg while she's chasing after kids, doing dinner then dishes, etc is not right either.

I voted wife should, only because most guys who work while the mom's stay home have other duties around the house they take care of... ( MOST guys do not all :) Like my husband works and then he comes home and takes out garbage, feeds the dogs, chops wood, etc. If the guys is busy doing other things related to the up keep of the home in general, and not sittingon his butt when he gets home and doing nothing, then I say the wife should take care of the house ( dishes, laundry, general pickup)

I do most of it but I stopped after the two grown men (not my hubby he makes the third man) decided not to clean after themselves because a lady was in the house. I find that sexist so I quit cleaning lol...but when it is me and my DH we both clean equally even though he works 50+ hours a week I maintain the domicile's upstairs where me and him and his father live (except bedroom and office) and he take out the trash and we both clean our room and our office.

My husband works fulltime so I do all of the cleaning during the week. I do expect him to pick up after himself. During the weekend I expect him to do as much as I do. There are days when I recent always having to clean because in our house it's 4 to 1. Meaning I am 1 person cleaning up after 4 people.

I don't think that it would be right to expect my hubby to do house work after working 40-60 hours a week!! If one stays home they should do all the house matter if it is a man or woman that stays home! I see guys that don't work and don't think they should have to do the house work...what BS!!

I think that if DH is working then wife should do the housework but hubby should help out when he comes home so wife can have a break. Or vice versa. If both hubby and wife work then the house work should be split 50/50

My husband is the bread winner and I am the stay at home pregnant wife. I do all the cleaning and make all the meals and do all the dishes...but my husband does all the laundry...I would rather clean toilets witha toothbrush than do laundry :(

My ex never did any housework, but lied to his wife that he would come home and have to do all of it because i wouldn't do it. I talked to her one the phone the day before hurricane Ike hit and told her the truth. He would just come home and either take over the tv or go to bed. He was so controlling and intimidating all the time. If he didn't like what i fixed for dinner he would make the kids or me go buy him a steak whether we had money or not and most of the time we didn't have any.
