Description:
Ok I lost my mom and sister to a drunk driver and they got away with it, because it was 1980 and at the time native americans could not be charged with such crimes. I have lost many friends to drunk drivers. I can not believe that were I live these people keep getting away with it last night someone was killed from a hit and run. the odd thing is before this even got to the paper A diffrent story was printed about how Sauk county's drunk driving is up. there is a guy that has gotten his 5th DUI that just killed someone yet he had not been put in jail before this. Come on Do you not think before you get behind the wheel that you might just kill someone. A mother, a child, Brother, father. Who really cares about you dying you chose to drive drunk!! The people you kill do not!!!!!!

one of my friends was hit by an amish man who was drunk (i thought they didnt drive cars, but i have seen them do it sooo kinda confusing) anyways, she cant have kids as a result... yes when you kill someone with a car it should be seen as a homoside.... just like a gun, anyone can take the bus, and if you are drunk cabs have to take you home for free... dont drink and drive!

I think it's absolutely terrifying that they can lock a guy up for 3-5 years over dog fighting (although I don't agree with it) but give a person who gets caught driving drunk a misdemenor.

I voted no but my friends husband was a drunk driver, caused an accident injuring 2 people,he got 6 years in prison. He was told if one of them had died ,less time. Right before Halloween a lady caused an accident, involving 6 cars, killing 2 kids,no alcohol involved. If convicted she will get 6 months!!! We live in Ohio,Robin

Well in a way, I didn't answer...My grandfather became permanently handicapped from the waste down because he was driving drunk. Also, there was a guy I went to school with who was driving drunk and he only killed himself.

I didn't answer because yes my father and grandpa were hit by a drunk driver but neither were killed, my dad walked away my grandpa was really messed up for a good while.

My ex boyfriend [long ago] lost his father to a drunk driver. I've had a couple of friends hit but were able to walk away.
