Just make it more of a celebration of the new baby and not about gifts!!

Especially if you're having a girl, it's FINE.

For sure ... expecially if you're having a girl. Like someone else said, make sure to make the focus the baby and family and less about gifts. IDK, not to sound too critical or something, but don't you already still have a lot of the big baby things? I had my oldest 4 years before I had my twins and I still had a lot of the bigger stuff. I had a second baby shower because I was having twins and a girl, there was still more things I needed. IDK.

I think it would be perfectly fine. When my son was 4 months old we found out we were expecting another one (Yes, already... big surprise, but so happy at the same time). This time it was a girl. A few people said we shouldn't have one and that it was "just wrong" but I don't get it. First off, I mostly wanted a baby shower to get all my friends and family together at one time, some that I haven't seen in forever. Second off, my first was a boy and my second was a girl, I didn't have anything I needed for a girl. But even if it were having a boy again, I would still have a shower. I love buying gifts for others and wouldn't mind doing it for someone else.

I think it would be tacky to throw a baby shower for yourself (and you shouldn't ask for one) but if your friends/family offer to give you one . . . I don't see a problem. (Congrats on you baby on the way)

I think it's no problem, especially if you are having a different gender this time around.

Even if not...I still dont' see a prob, cause you can still stock up on diapers and wipes!! And it's nice to have new things here and there for each kid rather than having to use all 2nd hand stuff the whole time. (My first daughter has had plenty of hand me downs and new things and my twins coming in May, are different genders but they'll use hand me downs and new things too) Nothing wrong with it.
