I know that sometimes it goes away on its own, it just clears up by itself. Some forms of it can cause genital warts.

i had it but it cleared up on its own, i had a biopsy to make sure everything is OK, but i have been getting regular paps now so im good. It came out when i was prego. They say 90% of people have it and they dont know it. It can stay hidden for years and comes out when your immune system is down

pretty much if you or you partner have been with more than 2 or 3 people then you probably have it
for the most part its harmless and you end up with no signs and it goes away
the only real danger is that you could have a strand that will give you cervical cancer
if you think you have it get regular pap tests just to make sure it doesnt become more serious but in the long run you shouldnt have any problems. and dont be ashamed it doesnt make you dirty for having it A LOT of people do or have. its kinda unavoidable even with condoms

I tested positive about 8 years ago, but at first my doctor wanted to wait and see if it was one of the "non-harmful" strains. A year later, I found out that it wasn't, and that it was actually one of the cancer-causing strains. So I had a procedure done to remove the infected cells (the bottom portion of my cervix). Then, about 2 years later, I tested positive again, and my doctor was going to do a hysterectomy, but I ofted for another procedure, and have been clear ever since.

I've had sex with 8 people in my life and hubby has been with more. And we have never gotten it. And have yearly check-ups and everything is clear. So I disagree that having sex with 2-3 people automatically means you have it!!!!

the last person also has no idea what they are taking about. there is no way you have been screened for all 70 varieties of HPV!!!! Did you really there is a strain you can get just by touching someone?? Look it up, it's true. Many people are just carriers to the virus and have become immune to it. So many of us have at least 1 form at some point in our lives and may go on to have perfectly healthy lives and children.

I have only been with my hubby and he has only been with me so I am pretty sure we dont have to worry about that.

I had it....it came out when I was prego and I felt so horrible...I cried and cried and apologized to DH...there's no way to know who gave it to you....the good news is it went away on its own....it's like the chicken pox or something....you build up an immunity to it....
