Yes. You'll be lucky if you both live through it.

I have 2 daughter 15 and 17. They drive me nuts. I try to be a good mom but they challenge you every step you take. They want to be independent, but yet on the other hand they want to babies. They are confused and confuse me. I feel like I am walking on hot coals all the time. Any advice?

Actually I found the ages of 11,12 and 13 to be the hardest.  My oldest is now 16 and I find her company very enjoyable.  Sure she can be moody and sometimes I need to call her out about it, but when I think of the serious issues that I could be dealing with I realize that life with my teen is pretty good.

having been a teenage daughter myself, pretty recently in fact (i'm 22 now), i t depends on the child. i have a sister 13 months older than me, and another 19 months older than her. the oldest was just plain lazy, the middle was a saint, and i got sent to live with relatives for awhile.

Like every stage, the teen years have their challenges, but if you have done your job well it will also be a fun stage.

I was a terrible teenager, had a total mind of my own and did not show my parents respect, came and went as I pleased, stayed out til whenever if I came home at all.My poor parents! I have a daughter now,Oh and her father was the same as I was when he was younger, worse. So I can imagine what I am in for. Spend time with your daughter,do fun things like shopping, going to a spa, show her how much you care and love her,put her first, dont make her stay home and babysit {if u have younger kids}while you go out.Live as you would want her to live.

I would rather deal with the terriable 2's or a colicy newborn than a teen!
