If it was just pee, I didn't wipe him EVERY single time, but pretty close!

I asked this question earlier (in the answers section) and was debating making a poll....guess I don't have to now! LoL

Charmed, I searched before I made one. :) I'm glad you know how to use the search feature too!
It really bothers me how many women say they don't consider this necessary.

I agree. I wipe myself everytime I pee, so why shouldn't I wipe my son? At least I can do it for myself; it's my responsibility to do that for him. He's a baby first of all, so I don't bathe him every day, so his "area" needs to get all of the cleaning it can on his non-bath days. Also, pee is acidic. Though it's "watered" down in a sense, it's still acid. I wouldn't want my child to sit in "real-deal" acid, so what makes watered-down acid any better for his bottom? I dunno, I guess I thought it was a thing everyone did, but I guess not. Our son is wiped with EVERY change, period.

Nope. My son gets diaper rash more frequently when I wipe him with every pee. (using unscented wipes or even a wet wash cloth. It seems to be an abrasion thing). So I wipe him if he has strong smelling urine, and at the end of every day I hose him off before bed.

He's had maybe two mild diaper rashes in his entire life, both from wiping. One more severe diaper rash that was caused by teething, and one diaper rash that was the cause of a certain relative feeding him SOMETHING that he should not have had...

The only time I don't is the midnight diaper change. I found that if I wiped them, they woke up, and if I didn't, they would sleep right through the change. So, that is the only time that they are not wiped.

Absolutely! I even frequently wipe my 4 year old after she uses the potty because I don't trust that she wipes very well.

I'd prefer my children not smell of pee so I wipe/wiped them. I use homemade cloth wipes and apply extra virgin coconut oil if there happens to be any skin irritation, but they are/were cleaned several times throughout the day. I know I wouldn't want someone leaving me in my pee all day so it just doesn't seem right that I'd leave them in theirs either.
